Where Students of All Levels Master the Math of Markets.
Meetings every Tuesday from 5-6pm in KOBL 313
CU Quants is a student-led organization dedicated to bringing together students of all backgrounds to explore quantitative finance through hands-on learning and collaboration.
Membership is open to all, with weekly meetings split into general time, where members freely discuss macro market news and advanced topics in math, computer science, and economics, and project time, where teams develop and test trading strategies, risk models, and more.
To join a project, you must apply, but everyone is welcome to attend general meetings. Applications for membership open each semester.

What are we currently working?
Right now, CU Quants is actively engaged in both general meetings and project meetings:
General Meetings
Members are presenting and discussing current events in quantitative finance.
We're running our market simulation game, where members use CU Quants-provided quantitative models to trade fictitious securities.
We're solving interview questions and mini-projects to sharpen technical and problem-solving skills.
Project Meetings
We have three teams: Algorithmic Trading, Risk Management, and CUTE.
CUTE is developing and refining our in-house trading system for the Algo team.
The Algorithmic Trading team is working on strategies that will be presented at the end of the semester.
The Risk Management team is building models to evaluate portfolio risks and help members analyze different investment strategies.
Plenty is happening—whether you're looking to dive into financial markets, build trading models, or prepare for a quant career, there’s something for you at CU Quants!

CU Quants hosts general meetings every Tuesday from 5:00-6:00pm in KOBL 313.
